For the Love of Whiskers
Now being in the infinite age of reality tv you may be asking yourself what other shows can producers put on the screen. I can now say that I have found yet another, although it’s been around two seasons. My most recent find is an amazing reality tv show full of dramatic backstabbing competition; and no, I don’t mean The Real Housewives.
IFC‘s Whisker Wars, a reality tv show produced by Thom Beers, focuses on the ferocious and competitive world of facial hair growing. Interested?
Season 1 just recently released on Netflix and as Season 2 is wrapping up, Whisker Wars has gained quite a following. In Season 1 main squeeze Jack Passion (recently booed on stage in Season 2 and also accredited in the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival documentary Mansome) and other participants, including my friend and co-worker Myk O’Connor, compete to steal back the World Championship title from victorious Germany. Failing to win back the title as Team USA, Season 2 brings fierce competition as every man is in it to win it, completely alone.
Full of dramatic double-crossing and egotistical men, IFC’s Whisker Wars is certainly a must see reality show.
