Will Ferrell Busy Doing What He Does Best

THE CAMPAIGN

Will Ferrell is a busy man.  When he’s not acting, he’s producing.  His website, Funny or Die, has been nothing short of spectacular, starting with one camera and a now infamous cameo by Pearl McKay, daughter of his partner, Adam McKay.  And while his on-screen appearances haven’t been as prevalent as they were earlier in his career, Ferrell remains the comedic genius that a nation has come to know and love.  And it would appear as though he’s getting back to what he knows best.

In Ferrell’s latest film, The Campaign, he teams up with Zach Galifianakis, in what looks to be one of the biggest comedy blockbusters of the summer.  Ferrell and Galifianakis are no strangers, and have worked very closely together on numerous Funny or Die projects.  The chemistry between them is evident as they face off in an election that’s very timely, with our nation’s Presidential elections right around the corner.  This film also allows Ferrell to spin off of his wildly successful character based on his Presidential impersonations from Saturday Night Live.

While The Campaign is scheduled to come out in theaters August 10th, Ferrell is currently working on what may be the most anticipated project of his career: Anchorman 2.  The long-awaited sequel is already expected to be a hit, with Ferrell, Paul Rudd and Steve Carell all returning for their roles as part of the best local newscast in San Diego.  Don’t get too excited just yet though, as filming is not anticipated to start until early 2013 at the latest while the script remains under construction.

If you can’t get your fix of Ferrell, you’re never too far from a hilarious video clip featuring his work.  Whether it’s on Funny or Die, Hulu, the silver screen or the small screen, Ferrell is everywhere.  He’s doing what he loves, making people laugh, and while expectations have never been higher for him, there’s no pressure on the seasoned Hollywood veteran.  Look for big things to come, and millions of people to be thoroughly entertained.
