Anthony Freda is a very well known, award winning artist whose art has been featured in everything from Rolling Stone to The New York Times to Playboy. I’ll admit that all of it has a very commercial twist to it, but I happen to appreciate art that combines objects the artist finds with his own drawings and a dash of computer aided graphic design (especially when there is a political twist to the images, as is the case with Anthony Freda’s art.)
Thought provoking and deep, Anthony Freda‘s paintings force you to contemplate and question reality as it is presented to you. I suppose there is something to be said for art that doesn’t try to make a statement and simply tries to illicit emotion through imagery, but there is an important place in the world of art for the likes of Anthony Freda.
